Job Summary :

Supervises IBX Engineers and IBX site. Assists with testing and coordinating projects and maintenance.

Typically has 2-3 years of people management experience and is fully proficient with each of the responsibilities indicated.

Management

  • Supervises IBX Engineers to ensure that the duties they are undertaking are carried out in a timely manner and projects are progressing as expected
  • Manages personnel details to include salaries, positioning, hire / fire, reviews, coaching and development
  • Site Capacity Management

  • Overall site capacity supervision
  • Project / Infrastructure Management

  • Plans, coordinates, budgets, and implements resources to complete projects and maintenance within the data center
  • Provides input and guidance towards budget
  • Vendor Management

  • Oversees contractor work and operations to ensure completion to Equinix's required standards
  • Testing

  • Assists with start up tests, documenting and reporting all problems
  • Incident Management

    Communicates and coordinates activities and on-site staff during an incident

    Qualifications

  • 7+ years experience
  • High School Diploma or above in Mechanical Engineering or Building Service Engineering
