PURPOSE OF ROLE

The Manager of the Programmatic Business Unit (PBU) leads a team specialized on programmatic marketing activation for a portfolio of GroupM Agencys clients and ensure best in class media buying and delivery to meet and optimize campaign KPIs

GroupM Services RESPONSIBILITIES

The GroupM Services team adopt a collaborative and customer-centric approach in delivering high value and innovative solutions for our Agencies and Agencies clients, including the activation and execution of dynamic media campaigns.

INDIVIDUAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Solid understanding of Programmatic Buying, including DSPs / SSPs, RTB, ad-exchanges, DMPs, audience targeting.
  • Able to strategize, optimize and deliver on clients programmatic KPIs such as CPL, CPA, CPM & App install
  • Ensure quality campaign delivery is performed as per agreed timeline and SLA
  • Support Campaign Delivery team on the campaign brief solution and development of tactical response via media schedule
  • Undertake the campaign set up process for all Programmatic campaigns within the clients portfolio, troubleshoot any tracking and discrepancy queries, and ensure campaigns are activated with accuracy and following best practices
  • Monitor the success of Programmatic campaigns through media analytics, KPIs, and dashboards
  • Be accountable for the ongoing management of campaign budgets and daily spend levels, bid strategies and constant monitoring of tracking to performance goals
  • Identify performance trends across client accounts and implement appropriate account optimization based on the insights generated
  • Analyze ongoing results to identify campaign trends, key insights and provide thoughtful recommendations to ensure we meet and exceed client goals
  • Demonstrate innovative ideas which support business growth
  • Demonstrate an understanding of strong fundamentals of Brand Safety, Viewability and Ad Fraud
  • Share and nurture expertise on various types of Programmatic deals
  • Build a great working relationship with the PBU team and GroupM Agencies, operating seamlessly together to deliver success for our clients, across the briefing, booking, set up, optimization and reporting processes
  • Any other project or tasks as assigned from time to time
  • MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS AND TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • 4+ years working experience in Digital Marketing or relevant industry
  • Knowledge and experience in programmatic planning and buying
  • Leadership skills demonstrated by self-confidence, good judgement, sound decision-making, empathic listening, flexibility, self-motivation and ability to challenge the status quo.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and effective communication skills
  • Able to efficiently prioritize and delegate tasks in a fast-changing environment
  • Team player demonstrated by the ability to receive and provide feedback professionally, thrive and collaborate in a cross-functional environment
  • DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Preferably experience in client servicing and managing a team across programmatic / solutions-based capacity
  • Good ability to manage people intended as drive people towards joint goals, mentor, coach and motivate them as well as hold them accountable for their results
  • Strive for excellence demonstrated by setting high standards for yourself and others, committed to continuous improvement and deliver results despite constraints

    The GroupM Services Buying Team delivers best in class media buying and implementation.

    The following are the responsibilities of every Buying team and the varying degree of complexity is subject to individual job level :

  • Ensure teams understanding of clients brand, GroupM Agencys deliverables and campaign KPIs.
  • Ensure team understanding of media behaviors and how the target audience interacts with programmatic touchpoints
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve and enhance clients campaigns and advise GroupM Agencies accordingly
  • Provide actionable insights during mid and post campaign reports to improve in-flight optimizations and future campaign brief recommendations
  • Proactively address, and when needed escalate, any issue that compromises the quality and timeliness of deliverables
  • Ensure cross-functional collaboration by demonstrating openness to new ideas and interest in learning from colleagues with different expertise
  • Work collaboratively across stakeholders to ensure value to clients
  • Conduct quality control and assurance of own and team workflow before handling it over to another party
  • Ensure understanding and compliance of all GroupM policies and procedures
  • Organize and drive knowledge share and understanding of new trends, channels and technologies across programmatic activation
