The Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) combines Deutsche Bank’s Corporate Finance, Global Markets and Global Transaction Banking businesses.

This new business division was created in 2017 with the aim to ensure greater alignment of product and sales efforts, enabling the bank to deliver a better service to clients and a more focused resource allocation.

Global Transaction Banking (GTB) is a leading global provider of cash management, trade finance and securities services, delivering the full range of commercial banking products and services for both corporates and institutions worldwide.

Position Overview

Global Transaction Banking (GTB) today is a world-class provider of Cash Management, Trade Finance, Securities and Trust and Agency Services for Corporate Clients and Financial Institutions.

Trust and Agency Service :

With offices in Hong Kong, Singapore, Tokyo, New York, California, London, Frankfurt, Milan, Lisbon and Dublin, the Trust and Agency Services team at Deutsche Bank has long been recognized as a leader in the provision of administrative and fiduciary services to the global debt and equities markets.

It supports structures from the simplest to the most complex, covering Depositary Receipts, Asset Backed Securities, Structured Credit, Document Custody, Term Debt, Money Market Instruments, Escrows, Project Finance, Loan Agency and Islamic Finance.

The Trust & Agency Services Product Management team is responsible for the growth and evolution of products and services provided by the business.

Product Managers engage with the market to identify and understand regulatory and business driven challenges facing our clients and ensuring that Deutsche Bank has solutions in place to address these needs.

This role is exciting and broad ranging : Focused on the strategic development of TAS products in the region, the successful candidate will engage with senior GTB management across in the region and TAS management globally to drive the regional strategy.

Daily activities will require working in close coordination with the global Product Management team, client services, sales and marketing in the region and Global Technology & Operations to enhance, build and develop solutions in line with the Group strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Coordinate with the TAS APAC Business head on the development and execution of product strategies focusing on revenue generation, product marketing, product development and process improvement initiatives
  • Stakeholder management and coordination between Product, Sales, Marketing, Legal, Technology and Operations
  • Ensure that all TAS APAC products are delivered and managed in accordance with the GTB product governance requirements
  • Product Strategy & Development

  • Identify new product and product extension opportunities for TAS in the Region, from idea generation through to product delivery in line with GTB’s new product governance protocols.
  • Drive priority business initiatives supporting revenue growth / revenue protection and regulatory oversight
  • Working closely with the regional business head, assist in the development of proof of concept, business case and implementation plan for identified opportunities
  • Perform competitor benchmarking and assessments on a periodic basis
  • Attendance and speaking engagements at product and industry-specific conferences
  • Understanding disruptive / digital market evolution and the impact on TAS in the region perform opportunity analysis and product development requirements as necessary
  • Product Governance & Regulation

  • Ensure TAS APAC adherence to GTB product governance requirements, performing period product reviews and coordinating product risk assessments in collaboration with group and business control functions.
  • Support TAS Regulatory Conformance lead in the assessment of Regulations impacting TAS in the region
  • Identify business or technology implementation obligations associated with regulatory change impacting TAS products in the region
  • Represent TAS on relevant industry bodies and attend appropriate industry events providing feedback to TAS stakeholders where required,
  • Product Marketing

  • Contribute to internal and external thought leadership materials, including preparing materials for articles, seminars and conferences that enhance DB's position and profile in the capital markets
  • Work with the TAS Business Development & Strategic Sales team to produce direct product marketing materials for TAS in the region
  • You will have :

    A good understanding of the global financial services industry and capital markets. - A background in transaction banking and in a Securities and / or Equities environment is preferable

  • The ability to analyze business situations and identify new and / or enhanced product opportunities providing a succinct summary of that analysis to stakeholders.
  • Relevant product / market development / corporate strategy experience, preferably gained in a leading financial institution
  • Strong analytical, document review, writing and presentation skills.
  • Experience at interacting widely at all levels through a banking organization.
  • Entrepreneurial thinking and acting at all times, taking ownership for instigating and executing initiatives.
  • Performance and result oriented work-style with a strong business acumen.
  • The ability to work under pressure, handle multiple priorities and work as part of a team as well as individually.
  • A good understanding of the Product Management discipline, end-to-end process driven management approach
  • You will be :
