A dynamic individual is required to join Program North and act in leadership capacity on the Architecture workstream from solution, engineering and delivery perspective.
The focus is to enhance our application system performance and change the bank capability covering Hong Kong business. The key challenge will be to deliver the requirements below in an environment with a high rate of growth.
Expectation is to contribute on stability, resiliency and performance to our customer journey from overall technology perspective.
Act in leadership capacity for the Program North Architecture workstream as the main brain and objective is to reduce Hong Kong customer-impact incident by half year on year
Work with individual teams across CIO to review architectural design, solution and cost
Implement comprehensive observability framework among traditional monitoring and predictive monitoring capabilities for HK critical systems
Focus on the whole eco-system but not specific application within the eco-system to identify potential bottlenecks, performance tuning and stability improvement opportunity
Review load tests to validate system performance and stability
Work with system owner on specific design and execute benchmark, load, stress, endurance and other non-functional tests
Work with monitoring system owner to improve success rate of pre-alert of customer-impact incident and identify potential bottleneck.
Address all technical issues; facilitate the resolution and necessarily follow up with Development and other cross-functional departments
Provide technical assistance to improve system performance, capacity, reliability and scalability
Work with MIM, Problem Management and North Governance teams to review incidents regularly and determine what will be added to Program North
Generate periodic performance reports for management review
Identify and recommend new technology that will add value to the organization in terms of capability, performance and cost efficiency
Solid relevant experience in architecture / engineering stream
Expertise in test planning, test estimation, test strategy, work load design, test cases design, test environment setup, test data setup, defect management & configuration management
Strong problem-solving skills and time management skills
Strong technical knowledge in engineering process and methodologies
Knowledge on cloud base computing
Sound technical experience in reviewing application, Infrastructure, sys logs and correlation analysis
Able to do a detailed root cause analysis and provide detailed performance analysis.
Good knowledge on agile performance testing and CI / CD
Excellent communication and co-ordination skills within the technology, business community and team members
Ability to write technology proposals and business recommendations would be considered an advantage
Experience in building high availability and resilient banking systems would be a distinct advantage
