Job Duties :
Lead and build the team to conduct R&D activities in automotive components design and control technology including EV powertrain systems such as Battery system with BMS development, overall vehicle system control and advanced technology which will enhance driving experience and safety
Lead the development of automotive system & control technology, pursue collaboration with industry players and technology partners
Identify related technologies and products suitable for auto industry application and turn them into business opportunities
Contribute core technology know how and expand the team’s core vehicle competence in both system and component level to help local SME suppliers and auto industry
Initiate and drive R&D projects and setup plan to realize the implementation within the Centre and team
Manage R&D projects effectively, conduct progress review based on program milestone to meet government’s and management’s expectation
Oversee project management to ensure project progress and spending within scope, identify issues and roadblocks, and provide timely and proper solutions
Conduct technology transfer of R&D results to production and provide coaching to others
Job Requirements :
Bachelor Degree of engineering from disciplines such as electrical / electronic engineering or equivalent with at least 8 years’ working experience.
Master and Doctorate degree holders preferred
Product development experience in automotive industry and system control technology a must to lead a professional team
Solid R&D experience in related technologies required and with good track records
Sound relationship with industry, trade associations and research institutes / professional institutions in Hong Kong, Mainland and overseas
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to handle multiple tasks under challenging situations
Excellent leadership skill, self-motivated and be able to manage multiple projects at the same time
Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese, including Putonghua

A competitive salary package commensurate with academic qualifications and experience will be offered. The successful candidates will be employed on a fixed-
term contract basis, which is renewable subject to appointee’s performance and the Council’s development needs.
