Job Description

As Manager of Brand & Customer Insights you will be responsible for helping to bring Manulife’s audiences to life within the business.

You will assist in the development of the customer / consumer and brand insights strategy based on business goals. Working with the Dir, Brand & Customer Insights to ensure market research initiatives are focused on using customer, sales, brand, industry trends and other significant data in statistical analysis to produce actionable insights.

Core Responsibilities :

  • Manages the implementation of qualitative and quantitative research projects and methodologies
  • Coordinates a Community of Practice across the business units to develop market research initiatives focused on using customer, sales, brand, industry trends and other significant data in statistical analysis and interprets research findings into actionable insights
  • Supports the development of a global insights roadmap and measurement framework that supports Manulife’s business goals
  • Produces monthly and quarterly action-insight brand market share performance reporting
  • Manages the monthly and quarterly data pull for brand insights tracking
  • Gathers data to holistically measure, quantify, and interpret Brand equity impact on campaign performance; customer behavior, and media ROI

  • Qualifications and Background :

  • Knowledge of the Brand and Customer Insights and a solid knowledge of Brand Marketing
  • Seven (7) years of professional experience
  • Three (3) years functional experience in customer analytics, market and consumer research, and / or customer sentiment analysis
  • Demonstrated experience uncovering useful consumer insights
  • Comprehensive understanding of customer segmentation and customer journey mapping
  • A history of skill in synthesizing complex findings and storytelling through data and insights
  • Demonstrated ability to independently produce & deliver compelling presentations, including monthly and quarterly reporting, with strong data visualization
  • Experience working with research agencies
  • Excellent project management skills with the shown ability to meet deadlines and balance multiple priorities.
  • Proven track record for working on complex large-scale or multiple mid-sized projects.
  • Proven abilities in cross functional teamwork, people management and negotiation.
  • Strong consulting, negotiating and influencing skills.
  • Familiarity with various insights data platforms and experience with data feed and BI tool management
  • Advantageous :

  • University degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience collaborating on the design and implementation of technology tools with internal and external partners
  • Multi-geography and cross cultural experience
