Ralph Lauren Asia Pacific is looking for a motivated and digital savvy Digital Designer (Product & UX / UI) to join the digital Ecommerce design team.
The Designer will partner closely with our cross-functional and cross-regional counterparts in APAC and global HQ to support our site and digital channel partnership initiatives.
The candidate must be well versed in the digital world and can utilize digital to elevate the customer and brand experience.
The role requires a detail oriented, driven, and collaborative team player.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Translate concepts into user flows, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences for local markets.
Facilitate type of product vision by researching conceiving, sketching, prototyping, and user-testing experiences for digital products
Design and deliver wireframes, user stories, user journeys, and mockups optimized for a wide range of devices and interfaces
Identify design problems and devise elegant solutions
Make strategic design and user-experience decisions related to core, and new, functions and features
Take a user-centered design approach and rapidly test and iterate your designs
Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders within the company in making the digital consumer experience enhanced.
Be excited about collaborating and communicating closely with teams and other stakeholders via a distributed model, to regularly deliver design solutions for approval
Be passionate about resolving user pain points through great design
Be opened to receiving feedback and constructive criticism
Be passionate about all things UI / UX and other areas of design and innovation
Research and showcase knowledge in the industry’s latest trends and technologies and competitors
Experience, Skills & Knowledge
Minimum of 4 years’ UX / UI design experiences, especially digital content in an ecommerce or digital agency environment
Research techniques & analytical thinking / Master of Information Design
Proficiency in Sketch, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, AI, INDD, After Effects, etc)
A deep understanding of mobile-first and responsive design.
Project management : Outstanding organizational, project management, file-organization and archiving skills
Understands creative development and digital project processes
Can effectively manage multiple projects and priorities across various channels
Performs well in a fast-paced, changing environment
You are also a strong communicator and relationship builder; a hands-on and independent self-starter; and a creative thinker and problem solver
Knowledge with China, Japan, Korea, and / or SEA ecommerce market is a huge plus
Staying on track with emerging digital trends and culture, attending events and engaging with the wider digital creative community
A plus but not required to do light video editing and animation (for social and presentations)
Experience with ecommerce platforms preferred
Experience with vendor / external agency management is a plus
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required.
oEnglish fluency / advance knowledge is a must; fluency / advanced knowledge of Mandarin, Cantonese and other Asian languages is highly valued
