Head of Credit Support

Private Banking Department - Private Banking and Trust Services

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our department as Head of Credit Support .

Principal Responsibilities :

  • Lead the team to manage loans portfolio of private banking clients including credit quality, business margin distribution and loans utilization.
  • Lead the team to provide credit advices and support to frontline for maximizing business opportunities. Drive credit-related projects and coordinate with internal departments and external regulatory bodies to cope with business target and development and ensure control effectiveness.
  • Conduct regular review on internal guidelines, work processes and service levels to enhance operational efficiencies, identify streamlining opportunities and initiate procedural changes and / or system enhancements to cope with internal or external requirements / changes.
  • Oversee and monitor the work progress of the team, provide regular update to the management and other teams and escalate critical issues when required.
  • Keep abreast of lending market trend and drive on-going enhancement on lending business or product offering to private banking customers.
  • Manage team members to maintain the Group’s / Bank’s internal control standards, implement and observe the Group’s / Bank’s Compliance Policy and maintain awareness of operational risk and minimize the likelihood of its occurring.
  • Qualifications

  • University graduate with degree preferably in business administration, Finance, Accounting or relevant discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in banking and credit services , preferably with Private Bank experience.
  • Proven managerial or supervisory experience.
  • Good understanding of the latest development / changes on compliance, regulatory requirements and credit guidelines.
  • Strong self-motivation and ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in both English and Chinese.
  • Great sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective customer service processes
