OliveX (HK) is looking for an Accountant to join the team!
What you will be doing
Report directly to the Head of Group Finance
Prepare full set of management accounts, month-end group closing with cloud-based accounting system
Accounting, month-end reconciliations, and revaluations of the Crypto Assets Porfolio Ledgers
Prepare accurate and timely monthly group consolidated financial and management reports
Assist with monthly financial and variance analyses reports against budget on performance results of individual entity level and consolidated group company level
Supervise team of Assistant Accountants to drive the daily accounting duties including but not limited to accounts payables and accounts receivables processes, preparing aging of creditors and debtors schedules, payment vouchers, receipts of payments, inventory, prepayments, accruals, fixed assets register and general ledger
Daily updating Cash Book Register, perform monthly bank reconciliation, intercompany loan balances reconciliations
Provide schedules and reconcile accounts for external auditors during half-year reviews and year-end statutory audits;
liaise with external tax service providers and local company secretary
Provide assistance with compiling monthly and quarterly Board Financial Package and financial liquidity graphs on PowerPoint
Participate in business process re-engineering activities on targeted accounting workflow processes
Periodic assessment of the existing internal accounting controls, timely rectification of any control weaknesses detected, and establish new accounting control initiatives for the Group's entities
Perform other accounting and administrative ad-hoc duties as assigned such as major system enhancement tasks and development projects
Who you are
Degree holder in Accounting / Finance or member of ACCA / HKICPA or equivalent
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in financial and management accounting, preferably with consolidation experience
Supervisory experience of a small team of subordinates is a PLUS
Analytical mindset, meticulous to details, good with numbers, excellent organization and multi-tasking skills
Proactive, self-motivated, positive attitude, results oriented, responsible, able to work under pressure in a fast paced environment
Capable to work with minimal supervision, mature, reliable, team player, good interpersonal and communication skills
Working knowledge of cloud-based Xero Accounting System is an advantage
Knowlege of blockchain business, Crypto Assets accounting and prior work experience in the FinTech industry are a PLUS
Proficient with MS Excel, Word & PowerPoint are MUST; Chinese Word Processing is a PLUS
Good command of both spoken and written English & Cantonese; Mandarin a PLUS
Immediately available is highly preferred
