Job Purpose :
The core purpose of this role is to provide professional input to Psychological Support Service. S / he works closely with the Clinical Psychologist cum Service in-charge (PSS) to lead development and execution of PSS emergency service, community psychoeducation and psychological first aid training to support the HKRC in delivering its humanitarian services to fulfill its vision and mission.
S / he will ensure effective implementation of the strategies and drive implementation and action to achieve the departmental goal to improving the wellness of vulnerable people in an effective and efficient way.
Key Responsibilities :
Lead by providing Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) technical input to the development, execution and evaluation of the PSS services, psychoeducational materials and training for ensuring the quality in meeting the needs of community
Provide MHPSS technical input to Internal Training System Development and Maintenance to establish and develop a pool of competent volunteers to work with the team in achieving the set goals
Develop PFA for All curriculum and conduct external Mental Health and Psychosocial Support trainings to responders in crises in the community and develop specialty in certain target sectors / audience (e.
g. social workers, disaster responders, education sector, healthcare professionals, governmental departments, NGOs, aviation community etc.)
Provide clinical consultations to those affected by crises and liaise with other mental health parties in the crisis responses
Act as the technical focal point of specific community and regular service projects
Undertake any other duties as assigned by Supervisor(s) from time to time
Master degree in Clinical Psychology, or equivalent
2 years or above of post-education experiences in Clinical Psychology preferred, Fresh Graduate will also be considered
Member of the Hong Kong Institute of Clinical Psychologists (HKICP) preferred
Knowledge and clinical skills in conducting psychological assessment and intervention in a spectrum of psychopathologies, including post-traumatic stress and related mental disorders
Familiarity with intervention and tools in mental health and psychosocial support in emergency, eg. Psychological First Aid
Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
Commendable training / facilitation skills and knowledge of adult education
Excellent skills in community work and social networking
Proficiency in both written and spoken Chinese (including Putonghua) & English
Contract Period : 2 years
