Senior Group Reporting Manager
Financial Control Division Financial Reporting Department
Hang Seng's Financial Control function works closely with the Bank's stakeholders, including business partners, shareholders, regulators and external examiners.
We function as their accountants and business partners in providing comprehensive information on financial management, financial planning, financial reporting and compliance, capital planning and reporting, financial control & SOX control, tax advisory, insurance finance, and treasury and investment finance.
We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our department as Senior Group Reporting Manager.
Support the Financial Reporting Section and ensure timely preparation of the Bank Group’s consolidated financial reports including statutory financial statements and published materials relating to interim and final results announcements in accordance with the relevant statutory requirements and applicable financial reporting standards
Lead a mid-size team to produce accurate and compliant financial and regulatory consolidated reports, and the implementation and maintenance of a robust and consistence controls framework on Hang Seng’s local & oversea subsidiaries.
Prepare the reports and papers on financial results and other financial management information for submission to the Board and various management committees.
Oversee the monthly balance sheet reconciliation and substantiation process and responsible for the quality of financial reporting and analysis across the Bank and subsidiaries within HASE.
Innovate to optimise financial processes and compiling reports, driving efficiencies and cost savings.
Assess impact on financial reporting caused by newe products, business and product systems, oversee the progress and status of affected areas
Lead, coach, train and develop a mid-size team of employees both on and off shore.
Keep abreast of the latest publicatin of financial reporting standards, interpretations, disclosures and listing rules requirement
University degree in Accounting or a related discipline, with a recognized professional accounting qualification an advantage
Minimum of 5- 8 years’ experience in financial reporting in banking or similar experience in auditing of financial institutions in big 4 auditing firms
Strong self-motivation, ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Good communication, interpersonal and analytical skills
Sound knowledge of computerized accounting systems and application software such as MS Excel and PowerPoint
Proficiency in both English and Chinese
Great sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective customer service processes
