The Company Secretarial Services Department comprises qualified lawyers, chartered company secretaries and executives of high caliber.

We work as a team, with a mission to provide comprehensive and professional company secretarial services and advices to the Board and Board Committees as well as Senior Management of Hang Seng Group, with reference to best-in-class corporate governance practices, to facilitate the Bank in achieving long-term and sustainable success.

As a member of our Department, you will have the opportunity to leverage your professional company secretarial knowledge and gain valuable exposure and insights into the Bank’s strategic, business and operational aspects.

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our Department as Senior Board Secretarial Manager to lead a team of highly qualified colleagues.

Principal responsibilities

The principal responsibilities of the role include :

  • Provide advice and support to the Board of Directors and senior management of the Bank on corporate governance and statutory, regulatory and group requirements with reference to best market practices.
  • Implement and monitor the corporate governance framework of the Hang Seng Group to ensure its fitness for purpose and effectiveness.
  • Organise and manage all Board and Board Committee meetings of the Bank, partnering with the contributory departments and functions in facilitating the Board / Committees in reaching well-informed decisions.
  • Lead and manage the Board Secretarial Team (with 4 qualified colleagues) within the Company Secretarial Services Department to drive excellence in performance and services to the stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of strategic and operational objectives of the Global and Regional Company Secretarial function.
  • Requirements

  • Associate member of ICSA or HKICS
  • Over 10 years’ managerial experience in company secretarial field
  • Previous working experience from a bank is an advantage but not mandatory
  • Strong personal communication skills with fluency in both English and Chinese
  • High level of accountability and servicing mindset with dedication to delivering exceptional quality services and strong ability to think out of the box
  • Great sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective customer service processes
