HR Manager (Employee Relations / Generalist) - Fixed Term Contract
Role Profile
You will be working closely with the APAC HR team and global HR CoEs in order to support the delivery of integrated, comprehensive and commercially focused HR solutions to the Asia Pacific client group.
A key element of the work will be to provide HR support with regards to the proposed acquisition by LSEG of Refinitiv and the Integration workstream.
On 1 August 2019, LSEG announced that it had agreed to acquire Refinitiv (the Transaction), a global provider of market and financial data, analytics and workflow solutions, from a consortium of funds affiliated with Blackstone as well as Thomson Reuters.
The proposed acquisition of Refinitiv, which is expected to complete towards the end of 2020 / early 2021 (subject to regulatory approval), would transform LSEG’s position as a leading global Financial Markets Infrastructure Group, significantly accelerating the execution of its strategy.

Reporting to the Senior HR Business partner for APAC with joint accountability to the Head of Employee Relations, this individual will be tasked with providing Generalist HR support to APAC in addition to Employee Relations case management and guidance to the Integration team.
This is a one year fixed term contractor role.
Key Responsibilities
Work closely with the HRBPs in APAC to design and deliver change projects and people initiatives that support the divisional and regional strategic objectives in partnership with the relevant Center of Expertise ( CoE )
Be the key point of contact on employee relations related matters regionally and working alongside the ER specialist based in London in managing a variety of employee relations matters including long term sickness, grievances, performance management, disciplinaries, exits including staff redundancies, policy updates and changes in local labour requirements for the APAC jurisdictions in which we operate
Support the regional HRBP and the business stakeholders to drive talent development, culture, employee engagement and diversity & inclusion initiatives regionally
Support the global deployment and regional roll out of learning and development initiatives and leadership programmes in partnership with Talent CoE
Work with local HRBPs in Asia and local leadership team on the execution and implementation of global / regional HR programmes / initiatives at country level
Develop communication strategies to raise employee awareness on various HR initiatives, their purpose and impact on employees
Work closely with HRBP APAC to develop and maintain our employer brand in the Asia market.
Assist Integration team with all ER related diligence requirements pre acquisition.
Work in tandem with ER counterparts in Refinitiv in order to assist with review of documentation (policies, contractual documentation) and eventual harmonization with implementation of revised changes.
In conjunction with the global ER team and with support from local counsel, ensure legal requirements met as part of transition and impact of workforce planning in APAC
Role Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferably in HR discipline
8-10+ years of working experience as a HR Generalist with focus in Employee Relations and Learning & Development preferably gained from a fast-growing global matrix organization
Experience in financial services industry will be an advantage
Exceptional analytical, organizational, problem solving and influencing skills
Ability to exercise discretion and work independently with minimal supervision
Strong client relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills
Ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders at all levels and build trusted partnership
Ability to navigate through a complex organization and work in a fast pace and changing environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skill in both English and Mandarin, working knowledge also of Malay would be advantageous
Flexible to travel (around 10-15%)
