Risk Management Group (RMG) is responsible for thedevelopment and maintenance of risk management and internal control frameworks.

We provide independent review and challenge to business to ensure thatappropriate balance is considered in risk / return decisions.

In addition, RMG isresponsible for the monitoring and reporting on key risk issues of the Bank. Tomanage risk effectively and deliver strong financial performance, we investsignificantly in our people and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Reviewcollection status and monitor the recovery amount from cases assigned to debtcollection agency
  • Monitorthe monthly debt recovery performance of debt collection agencies
  • Verifymonthly commission payable to debt collection agency
  • Conduct regular onsite audit visit ondebt collection agency and compile audit report Ensure debt collection agency collectionactions are complying with the Bank’s and regulatory requirements
  • Handle inquiries &complaints raised by customer or regulatory bodies in relation to debt collectionagency
  • Arrange and follow-up the repaymentarrangement for overdue instalments and associated expenses / costs incurred inthe process of legal proceedings and agency handling
  • Handleborrowers / mortgagors / guarantors’ enquiry related to the mortgaged propertyand / or the problem loan.
  • Followup and coordinate with solicitor firms on assigned cases
  • Ensurecorrect billing from solicitor firms and arrange reimbursement of all sort ofexpenses incurred (including management fee, rates & rents, etc).
  • Handle thedisposal of repossessed property
  • Requirements

  • At least 3 years solid experience in collectionwithin Consumer Banking
  • University graduate or equivalent OR
  • Secondary education plus5 years or above experience on consumer banking
  • Goodknowledge in managing collection agency & legal proceedings
  • Understandthe guidelines / regulations laid down in the Code of Banking Practice, Code ofPractice on Consumer Credit Data and HKMA Supervisory Manual
  • Good communication and complainthandling skills to deal with different parties including debt collection agency,solicitor firms or customer
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools
