To provide quality and site supervision requirements stipulated in the Building Ordinance or relevant legislations for the works of the project both with or outside Hong Kong.
To communicate with the officer of the Buildings Department and Geotechnical Engineering Office of CEDD on structural / geotechnical works and to submit monthly monitoring report and T5 report to BD and GEO in accordance with the Code of Practice of Site Supervision and approval plans.
To resolve site difficulties arising from unforeseen circumstances and co-ordinate builder's works requirements in connection with building services and deal with the consequential changes to structural design and to produce sketch plans and working drawings as well as review the contractors’ submissions.
To coordinate and assist the design office on the design, coordination and site supervision issues with the client, government officials and contractor.
To carry out other duty for the successful delivery of the project as requested by the design office.
What You'll Need
The Resident Structural Engineer shall be a Registered Professional Engineer (Civil or Structural) with 3 years’ relevant post qualification experience in the supervision and co-
ordination of construction projects with 2 years’ experience as a Resident Engineer
To have experience on the coordination and supervision of Temporary Traffic Management Scheme (TTMS), Utilities Diversion, Site Investigation, Hoarding, Demolition, Site Formation, Excavation and Lateral Support, Tunnel, Foundation, Sub-
basement, Superstructures, Structural Steel works, Heavy lifting, Cladding, Glass Wall and Curtain Wall are preferable
To have Design and Build Experience is preferable
To carry out off-site fabrication (e.g. fabrication of steelworks, heat soak process of tempered glass, fabrication of precast concrete element etc.
outside Hong Kong if necessary
To work in flexible working hours including Over-time and Night shift may be required
