Wavemaker is an agency of GroupM, the world’s largest media investment company and are a part of WPP. In fact, we are responsible for one in every three ads you see globally.

We are currently looking for an Interaction Lead to join us. In this role, you will be responsible for growing digital investment within existing Wavemaker’s client pool, integrating digital thinking across existing clients and the agency including digital training & up-

skilling of Wavemaker account teams.

What your day job looks like at Wavemaker :

  • Managing digital planning and buying within the agency
  • Ensuring that all client teams understand how to plan and buy digital mediamanaging and motivating client leads their teams on Digital mediaestablishing specific digital skill sets within existing team membersestablish close working relationships with GroupM and other WPP agencies
  • Conducting regular training sessions and actively developing digital expertise within the current staff and client leads
  • Developing buying strategies to maximise client and Wavemaker revenues, including partnerships, cross media and third party companies
  • Being an ambassador for digital, planning and buying and Wavemaker both internally and externally
  • Sourcing new business opportunities
  • Participating in new business pitches
  • Working with Regional Interaction on regional clients
  • Embodying and promoting the Wavemaker Interaction values
  • Account management

  • Obtaining maximum value for clients’ budgets in all media negotiations, leveraging added value from new negotiations and leveraging cross channel added value
  • Developing an excellent understanding of Wavemaker’s clients, understanding their business and who they work
  • Defining and developing appropriate implementational strategies
  • Ensuring implementation of client campaigns is carried out expediently and within budget by the team
  • Ensuring the highest standards of internal and external client servicing from the planning and buying team
  • Managing the billing and finance procedures of team

  • Establishing strong relationships with key senior media owners
  • Forming strong relationships with other specialist partners
  • Promoting Wavemaker and its ambition and values to suppliers and other partners
  • Actively seeking new business opportunities for Wavemaker

  • Actively empowering clients within their organisations to be digital ambassadors for Wavemaker internally
  • Being the principal client point of contact on digital planning and buying matters at the agency

  • What you’ll bring :

  • Excellent understanding of the digital space including, display advertising, SEM, SEO, mobile, social media, data, content, and emerging touch-points and technology
  • Complete understanding of the digital advertising process from strategy development to campaign implementation and reporting
  • In depth knowledge of digital communications channels and their potential applications
  • Clear understanding and experience of implementing campaigns through multiple digital channels
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Strong leadership qualities, both strategic and personal
  • Minimum qualifications :

  • Graduate level, Business or Marketing degree (or equivalent) preferred, but not essential
  • 6 years+ experience, ideally local media marketplace experience and experience in digital communications and digital marketing at a client company or agency
  • Experience with media agency, creative agency, PR agency or sales house an advantage
  • Capable of delivering implementation strategic insight
  • Ability to manage workflow effectively
  • Strong numeric skills and attention to detail
  • Fluent oral and written English
  • Fluency in Cantonese, Mandarin and other languages are an advantage
