The Department and the Project
The Charities Department is currently looking for Project Managers to implement the Project, KeySteps JC (賽馬會童亮計劃). KeySteps JC is a Trust initiative under Poverty striving to reduce deficits of underprivileged young children and to build stronger foundation at critical early stage for better life outcomes.
It adopts a multidisciplinary collaboration involving education, health and welfare to develop a holistic intervention model in schools, family and community to help children and families with enhanced human and social capital.

To be part of the Project Team, you will :
Oversee the overall implementation of the project in collaboration with the academics, NGOs and relevant internal and external parties;
Help steer the programme direction, monitor the progress of each project component for anticipated outcome, conduct budget control, as well as look after programme evaluation and impact assessment;
Manage and support communication initiatives, events and public education activities of the project;
Engage different stakeholders including related government departments and NGOs for project development and future sustainability; and
Provide secretariat support for the Steering Committee of the project, participate in Subcommittee / Task Force meetings, as well as other coordinating meetings among project partners.
You should have :
A Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Science or related disciplines;
At least 8 to 12 years of working experience in running education services, managing large-scale community programmes, or involving in public services.
Having experience in early childhood development would be added advantage.
Strong project development and management skills, as well as ability to work / collaborate with a number of parties including government departments, NGOs, academics and people of various levels;
Knowledge in media and promotional strategies;
Proficiency in both Chinese and English, as well as interpersonal and communication skills;
Passionate about philanthropic work and social issues;
Strong personal drive with innovative mindset and can-do spirit; and
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively to drive results.
Terms of Employment
The level of appointment will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. A contract employment will be offered to the successful candidate.
Contract renewal will be subject to mutual agreement between the Club and the individual.
