Director, Global Strategy & Operations Management (GSOM)

Our Advisory division is looking for a Director, Strategy and Consulting to join our high performing Account Team (Financial Industry Client) based in Hong Kong.

Some of your key responsibilities will include :

  • The guidance and hands-on support of large-scale real estate projects and initiatives within the client’s organization including (but not limited to) Operational Location Strategy, HQ relocation, and retail portfolio strategy
  • Lead general portfolio strategy for the client across office, retail and residential asset classes
  • Deliver portfolio strategy across global markets, with a primary focus on the Asia Pacific
  • Work cross-functionally to manage disparate teams for positive outcomes both within CBRE and the client
  • Carry out a detailed review of the existing GSOM office and retail strategy and overlay with emerging real estate market trends to each asset class
  • For Global Corporate Real Estate initiatives with strategy lens, the candidate will need to adopt a player-coach’ role in working with the client’s Country CRE and Leadership to implement initiatives or extract insights
  • Support the review of business cases that require Global CRE approval
  • Candidate should have the experience and ability to present to Senior Leadership within the client’s organization and have good presence with senior stakeholders
  • The ability to deliver data-driven strategies through utilization of strong consultative skills and financial analytical abilities, including the ownership and delivery of complex financial spreadsheets to model both cash flow and P&L impacts
  • May write or assist in writing RFP (Requests for Proposals) responses and executing on those proposals
  • Coordinates with the Global Account Team; i.e., subject area, geographic resources, and experts able to support the needs of the client around the Asia Pacific region and beyond
  • Manages and achieves financial, operational and other measures as defined in deliverables and / or KPI's (Key Performance Indicators) established for over client as part of the on-going relationship
  • May collaborate with other line of business team members to forecast and develop annual real estate plans and implement strategies for achieving savings and cost avoidance goals as part of the on-
  • going client relationshipThe ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience in Business Consulting in the Hong Kong and Asia Pacific real estate markets.

    To be successful in this role you will ideally have :

  • Minimum of 8 years of business consulting and real estate experience
  • Bachelor's degree (BA / BS) from four-year college or university. Master’s degree in Business, Economics, Urban Studies, or related program or MBA preferred
  • Real estate license (where required by state law)
  • Professional certification, professional designations (e.g. BCCR, CCIM, CPM, MAI) and / or graduate level training in commercial real estate is desirable
  • In-depth knowledge of financial terms and principles
  • Ability to solve advanced problems and deal with a variety of options in complex situations
  • Comprehensive ability to manipulate MS Excel for managing complex financial spreadsheets
