Global Asset Management, the investment management business of the HSBC Group, serves HSBC’s worldwide customer base of retail and private clients, intermediaries, corporates and institutions invested in both segregated accounts and pooled funds.
Global Asset Management fulfils its purpose of connecting HSBC’s clients with investment opportunities around the world through an international network of offices in approximately 30 countries, delivering global capabilities with local market insight.
We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as an Associate Director, Client Service.
Principal Responsibilities
Working with the Head of Private Bank Distribution focus on DPM Business (1) approval of mandates (2) ongoing operational management and servicing (3) accuracy of RFP database
Maintain and support the Luxembourg based RAIF fund platform (1) coordinate the launch of new strategies to meet demand (2) liaise with GPB HK and SG, linking with colleagues as required (3) coordinate marketing support e.
g. PM regular updates, translation of collaterals, pitch book content, ad-hoc enquiries etc
Manage the institutional reporting focusing on timeliness and accuracy. Provision of current data / information, manager commentary, pitch book updates, PM quarterly meetings, ad-hoc queries from clients, etc
Leverage existing client service and sales personnel as required to meet requests and enquiries (tailoring of presentations, client, market, sector analysis, operations, corporate actions)
Manage Request for Information / Request for Proposal
Act as mentor to junior staff within the broader WB team
Support deal opportunities in the region
Requirements
University degree in Finance or related discipline
10 years minimum in investment management business / private banking work experience
Experience in client facing or client support role within an asset management business
Great sense of ownership and servicing mind set to ensure efficient and effective customer service processes
Strong attention to detail and deadlines
Good understanding of investment products, capabilities and operations
Excellent people and communication skills, both spoken and written
Team player who can develop relationships at multiple levels
Demonstrated experience of making difficult decisions when faced with competing priorities
Proficient in both verbal and written English and Chinese
IT and business systems knowledge / familiarity (excel, word, Bloomberg, Morningstar, PowerPoint etc.)
