    Department Overview

    The Video Team is responsible for creating original video and multimedia content for internal and external audiences, delivered across various Fitch Group platforms in support of marketing and communication initiatives.

    Role Overview

    Fitch Ratings is looking for a hands-on video producer with camera, lighting, studio and editing / post-production skills to join its growing APAC Marketing team.

    This newly created position will function as part of a global team to develop multimedia content to strengthen the company’s market presence in Greater China and the Asia Pacific (APAC) region, with the goal of building brand awareness, increasing market share and maximizing revenues across Fitch’s brands, products, and services.

    Reporting into the Head of APAC Video, Fitch Ratings, based in Hong Kong, the Producer / Editor / Animator / Video Specialist, APAC will work closely with the Regional Head of Marketing for Asia Pacific and coordinate with Fitch Ratings Marketing Resources in the region (digital media, press, events) on various projects.

    This role will assume overall responsibility for the production of a wide variety of original video and audio content for use across multiple digital channels, including web and social media, to meet the needs of continuously evolving business areas and a growing APAC Marketing team.

  • Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day provisioning of video and audio recording in the Hong Kong studio, as well as location shoots in the APAC region
  • Camera operation, lighting setups, general videography work and audio recordings as necessary
  • Manage the studio and maintain equipment
  • Generate ideas and develop content in support of strategic campaigns to drive awareness and produce leads across the Fitch Group businesses;
  • campaigns include product, newsletters, retention, cross-sell / upsell, webinars, media and events

  • Meeting with clients and stakeholders to discuss anticipated product outcomes, and ensuring all phases from initial planning to production are completed within established timelines and budgets
  • Stay on top of industry trends within APAC and inform others as needed
  • Collaborate with other global team members and stakeholders
  • Analyse, monitor and report on the effectiveness of video performance. Provide insights and recommendations to stakeholders and business marketing teams to improve results
  • Manage and archive digital content assets
  • Work cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders
  • Work closely with APAC sales and marketing teams to ensure marketing & sales alignment
  • Qualifications and Experience :

  • Degree in television, radio, film, or sound and other new media areas is essential
  • A minimum of 5 years relevant experience in a similar role is required; B2B experience in financial services will be a plus
  • Demonstrable experience with video content management systems such as Brightcove is required, as is proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Premiere and After Effects
  • Demo reel is required
  • Knowledge and expertise in all areas of video production is required, with strong mastery of camera operation skills, green screen lighting and shooting and ENG field shoots needed
  • Thorough understanding on various types of studio equipment : cameras, lenses and shot composition; experience with DSLR lenses and cameras
  • Practical experience with short form content creation and video compression for multiple delivery platforms including Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, WeChat, Weibo, Ximalaya , Spotify and any channels relevant to the region
  • A wide network of vetted crew contacts and video resources in the region will be required
  • Required Skills

  • Strong conceptual thinker with the ability to prioritize, execute and manage multiple projects at one time
  • Strong time management skills are required with the ability to work well under the pressure of tight deadlines and conflicting priorities
  • A team player with have the ability to work independently, passionate with a strong entrepreneurial spirit
  • Fluent business English and Mandarin, both verbal and written, is essential. Any other languages are beneficial
