The regional Omnichannel lead will be responsible for working with BU product & leadership teams to identify market needs and opportunities that feed into the definition of a GTM / Business unit strategy that will drive the product, marketing and sales enablement strategy and roadmap.

The regional Omnichannel lead will work with the Product, Technology and Operations teams to define the product, technology and operational strategy, roadmap and delivery planning for Omnichannel solutions in their region.

The role holder will define, manage, report on and will be jointly accountable with the BUs and corporate functions for delivery to a set of financial and non financial KPIs.

What you will do

Market Discovery / Analysis & Proposition Development

Working with the business units :

Identify verticals and value segments (SMB, Mid Mkt, Enterprise) where the greatest opportunity exists in region for our omnichannel solutions

Understand the competitive landscape in detail, and articulate how Global Payments omnichannel solutions can differentiate and be the market leader

Define our GTM propositions for our omnichannel solutions

Shape Global Payments omnichannel product roadmap by surfacing needs based on insights / learnings from partners, customers, and sales

Understand and work with distribution partners & large clients to drive prioritisation of market-facing initiatives

Drive a consolidated view across the business units of common merchant needs and problems to ensure our investments are driving the great value

Product Strategy and Development

Working with our Global and Business unit product teams :

to define and evolve our omnichannel product strategy and roadmap

To drive prioritization of key omnichannel initiatives across the broader platform roadmaps

Provide oversight on the delivery of the roadmap on behalf of the business units

Coordinate and collaborate on efforts across our worldwide product organization

Think outside the box to identify opportunities for rapid acceleration of growth opportunities

Commercialization & Operational Readiness

Working with Global Product, Worldwide Operations, Corporate Marketing, other corporate functions and the business units :

Define and drive the commercialization plan for existing and new product features delivered as part of the product roadmap

Ensure consistent commercials, merchant contracts, collateral and other merchant facing content

Drive the commercial and technical sales enablement tasks with the business unit

Ensure there is an operational readiness plan and drive delivery of any uplift required for the product

Identify ongoing enhancements required to in market propositions and products and ensure this feedback drives future roadmaps

Define key financial and non financial metrics to measure the success of the overall proposition and specific elements of the proposition.

Performance against these metrics will drive future investment decisions

Regional Product & Distribution Partnerships

Working with the relevant corporate teams and the business units the role holder will identify partnerships that would allow us to accelerate the roadmap

Drive more global product and distribution partnerships

This position requires a strong set of skills, including strategy, execution, negotiation, partner management and project management.

The ability to communicate internally and externally and collaborate across diverse geographies, functions and lines of business is key.

A broad knowledge of the payments industry in the US and around the world, and the ability to synthesize payment processing industry trends and merchant and consumer value drivers into a coherent product strategy and execution roadmap is ideal.

Other Duties

Indirectly lead, manage and mentor a cross functional team

Drive innovative ideas, solutions and products through leadership and decisive action

Lead, define, represent and communicate product strategy

Represent Global Product in mergers and acquisition opportunities assessing target Product and broader capabilities

Promote continuous product and process improvements

Develop budgets, forecasts, and metrics

Required Qualifications

  • A strong customer focus and a successful track record optimizing existing and developing new products is critical. The successful candidate must demonstrate high energy, commitment and drive.
  • A true team orientation is a must.
  • Specific criteria include :

  • Product Strategy - leverages a broad experience set (traditional and alternative payments, omnichannel digital commerce solutions) to recognize opportunities both within and outside the traditional merchant payments market and quickly act to take advantage of those opportunities;
  • develops clear, compelling and ultimately successful new strategies to drive growth in both established and emerging markets;
  • able to effectively articulate product direction and make a case for investment that garners executive understanding, support, and consensus around vision and execution;
  • prioritizes and organizes investment resources against highest return opportunities through structured, process driven approach;
  • Product Management - Enhance existing products and services and optimization of current portfolio; Align customer value propositions, positioning and market messaging with regional product and marketing teams;
  • Educate internal teams and other GPN stakeholders on global product plans and execution; Demonstrate thought leadership, product / technology development expertise and strong project management skills in the integration of technology into new product and service solutions

  • Building Relationships and Collaboration - Evinces a high impact, persuasive personality; builds and sustains internal and external relationships and communication;
  • consultative partner able to easily engage, and build rapport and trust quickly; establishes trust and can lead without authority.

    Execution Focus - Strong focus and ability to execute; Not afraid to roll up your sleeves and ensure tasks get done; Broad focus on the task at hand and willing to dig in across multiple functional areas.

    Preferred Qualifications

    Minimum 10 years of business experience in combination of acquiring, payments, ecommerce, or financial institution

    Bachelor’s degree from college or university

    Project management skills are highly desirable

    Experience in executing via partnerships, inclusive of negotiating resources, time, expenses, joint development and plan execution

    Ability to oversee multiple projects and initiatives concurrently

    Expert level presentation and communication skills

    Self-motivated with a proven track record of delivering success while operating within a team environment
