Financial Analyst (FA)

We are currently looking to fill a FA position at American Express. This individual will support financial analysis and modelling on a wide range of critical business initiatives regarding our Card Service businesses in Hong Kong and Taiwan.

This position will be based full-time out of our Hong Kong office.

In this role, you will :

  • Involve in the month-end closing, forecasting and budgeting process including analysing and presenting monthly financial results
  • Support business partners in investment decision making
  • Prepare meeting materials / presentation decks as and when required
  • Support financial analysis and assist in ad-hoc business queries
  • Enhance and maintain existing and new financial models
  • Liaise with various stakeholders in Marketing, Central Finance, Controllership, Risk and other functions
  • Work collaboratively across markets to share insights and best practices
  • Qualifications :

  • Bachelor degree in Accounting / Finance / Economics or related discipline
  • 1-3 years’ experience in planning and forecasting, banking and / or financial industry supporting function.
  • Experience in lending product / industry is preferred but not required
  • Strong communication and presentation skills in English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin). Comfortable interacting with all levels of the organization.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and handling large amount of data, knowledge of any programming language experience is highly welcome (i.
  • e. TM1, VBA, SQL, SAS, Tableau, Power BI)

  • Student member of CPA / CFA or M.Sc. degree is a plus

  • Good presentation skills and time management
