During your VIE mission you will be supporting the global market BMO transversal team and be in charge of these responsibilities :
Monitoring all global market regional initiatives in terms of follow up, budget, resources and timeline. Proceed to data crunch for top management presentation & Asia project committee pitches.
In doing this, you will acquire an overview of strategic projects across all business lines in all APAC countries.
Gather information and draft presentations about new business initiatives (new product, license, access to exchange ) from a high-level standpoint and ensure the information is correctly shared among key stakeholders (top management, business managers, trading, sales, structurers).
Get involved in certain business pushes (e.g. digital, data, ESG , ) by becoming the link between the sponsors (head of desks) and other departments of the bank (IT, Compliance, Risk, Finance, ) or leading some initiatives.
This means assessing needs and obligations from both sides and efficiently communicate to launch the initiatives. You may be required to help measuring the impact of the regulations on the front office and their clients as well as supporting their implementation (e.
g. IBOR transition, ).
Assist the BMO team in computing business impact studies as well as presentation to business and internal stakeholders such as production of a monthly project dashboard, project forecast.
Profile Requirements :
You are graduated with a Master degree from Engineering or Business School or University with a specialization in Financial Market.
You have a previous significant working experience in financial industry (ideally in a bank).
You are curious, able to switch to one topic to another with agility.
You can communicate verbally and via slides.
You should have the capacity to work autonomously and demonstrate strong analytical sense.
You are familiar with global market financial products.
You have an interest in financial markets and regulatory changes.
You are proficient in PowerPoint and Excel, ideally PowerBI.
You must be comfortable in analyzing complex data on spreadsheet, pivot tables.
You are not afraid to express your opinions and source of propositions to improve / automate recurrent tasks.
Fluent English is mandatory.

The VIE assignment in a nutshell
This VIE in Hong Kong is to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 24 months.
The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space.
