My client is a global leader in the general insurance space and they have a new head-count in the Strategy and product proposition team where you will be responsible for instilling new growth momentum by developing innovative and personalized insurance products;
new strategic partnerships and creating new value propositions for the firm.
Product Development : Manage the full product development lifecycle from market research, product ideation, business case development, defining unique sales & market proposition, selection of distribution partners, go-
to-market pricing, profit & loss analysis, product and marketing materials production, etc.
Product Ideation : Collaborate with internal and external parties to co-create new product / service concepts that align with GI strategy;
develop customized products for partners that fit well into their value chains or customer journeys / episodes; initiate new product ideas and manage the requirements to create new product with strong value proposition.
Market Research & Analysis : Analyze market trends and competitors’ product strategies; benchmark competitors’ product features, pricing, marketing / promotion campaigns;
identify partnership opportunities, and understand customer feedbacks, etc to ensure product offerings are competitive and creating lasting values for clients.
Partnership Development : Explore and build external partnership / relationship (including startups, e-Commerce, lifestyle ecosystems, digital platforms, etc) to introduce new ideas / technology for all Retail GI products.
Stakeholder Management : Collaborate and build relationship with key internal stakeholders, including Marketing / Underwriting / Operations / Compliance / Claims and Distribution, to ensure new products are launched in a timely manner.
University degree or equivalent professional qualification
Strong business acumen, innovative thinking and strong team players comfortable with sharing new ideas
Good analytical skills and the ability to identify new business opportunities
Enjoy new challenges, strong problem-solving skills and work well with ambiguity
Able to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-pace environment
Knowledge of the insurance industry, health insurance, sales & marketing, emerging / digital technologies, as well as experience with complex customer projects is preferable
Experience in Product Management / Development in the insurance industry will be a plus
