Accountabilities and Activities

  • Lead team to achieve sales targets in pursuit of the most favourable terms and profitability to the company
  • Be accountable for new business sales targets
  • Assist to develop and maintain a sales strategy and business plan for intermediaries and direct clients. Use the business plan as a roadmap for setting / developing sales goals.
  • Communicate and cascade the agreed sales strategy to the sales team clearly and effectively
  • Work closely with marketing team to access current sales tools and drive the creation of new solutions
  • Collaborate with marketing team to plan, deliver and manage an effective communication and demand generation campaign for each channel partner
  • Support Head of Business Development on development and execution of new business strategies
  • Build and maintain relationship with intermediaries to create increased sales opportunities.
  • Lead discussion in driving new business with direct customers and form strategies with various stakeholders
  • Establish and execute the business plan for acquiring and enabling channel partners
  • Liaise with various operations departments to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the customer journey
  • Participate in new initiatives and service enhancement projects
  • To be considered for this role, you should ideally have

  • Bachelor degree in business or equivalent qualification
  • 5 10 years’ relevant job experience with at least 1 year in supervisory role in insurance / medical insurance field
  • Possession of valid general insurance license is preferred
  • Background in the health insurance market or other financial services industries such as Life Insurance, Retail, Commercial or Investment Banking and Wealth Management is an advantage
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills
  • Previous experience of a complex and multi skilled customer facing roles within a contact centre setting
  • To be highly customer focused and
  • strong understanding of the sales process and channel sales
  • An ability to speak Mandarin would be an advantage
