A Career with Hang Seng Bank Hang Seng is committed to service excellence Our people are our most important asset and play a vital role in our efforts to continually enhance our performance for customers and provide best in class products and services We seek to attract high calibre talent by offering a dynamic working environment good career development opportunities and competitive compensation packages Control Manager HOST COO Office Chief Control Office Hang Seng strives to provide world class standard services to its customers and exercise proactive risk management The HOST Chief Control Office is dedicated to manage operational risk internal control quality and sustainability across the Operations Services and Technology business The team also plays a key role in driving robust service culture by managing customer feedback and incidents to ensure service delivery excellence as well as providing consistent and strong operational support to the Bank s business partners on procurement management financial planning and knowledge management We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our department as Control Manager Principal responsibilities Validate the design and operating effectiveness of the Operations OPS and other HOST key controls through inspection inquiry observation sampling re performance and recalculation Review of OPS and other HOST risks and key controls through end to end process walkthroughs events or thematic reviews data driven reviews or issue read across and evidence reviews Support the risk framework and the associated change initiatives for responsible areas through active engagement and relationship building with stakeholders Act as escalation point for complex issues risks and controls in OPS Review and support to enhance OPS policies procedures and mechanisms with relevant departments Propose and implement remedial actions in response to review findings or other driver Manage projects in relation to risk and compliance to ensure adherence to Group policies statutory requirements and regulatory guidelines Promote desired behaviours and a positive risk culture across the remit area Qualifications Requirements University degree in Business Administration Finance Risk Management or related discipline qualifications Over 8 years of banking experience ideally with exposure to operations management in banking environment Good communication and interpersonal skills ability to work under pressure Excellent analytical project management and problem solving skills Proficiency in both English and Chinese with fluency in Putonghua an advantage Great sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective customer service processes The health and safety of our employees and candidates is very important to us Due to the current situation related to the Novel Coronavirus 2019 nCoV we re leveraging our digital capabilities to ensure we can continue to recruit top talent at the HSBC Group As your application progresses you may be asked to use one of our digital tools to help you through your recruitment journey If so one of our Resourcing colleagues will explain how our video interviewing technology will be used throughout the recruitment process and will be on hand to answer any questions you might have
