Retail Project Manager, APAC IT

Key Responsibilities :

Manage and successfully deliver assigned projects or programs, including management of internal and contracted resources as appropriate, within budget, schedule and scope.

Highlight any project related risks and recommend course of actions towards mitigating risks.

Comply with all necessary project management tools, processes and methodologies.

Responsible for the delivery of key project artifacts as appropriate :

Develop project schedules in MS Project and generate management summary reporting from the schedule

Develop and manage the project budget from initiation to project close

Development of project charters and their communication through governance subject matter experts (SMEs)

Creation and upkeep of project communications and risk management plans

Prepare, upload and distribute weekly project status reports

Prepare project change requests as needed

Prepare project resource plans

Maintain and upkeep the project SharePoint site for use by the project team

Led and interface with the project team to ensure the understanding, communication and timely completion of project tasks based on the maintained project schedule

Setup and prepare for all necessary project meetings involving the project team, project stakeholders and project sponsors

Own and manage project-level budget and spending based on invoices received, project resource time recorded and financials reported

Ensure project resources regularly record time and that all resources are accounted for

Management of project risks and issues and work with Regional Business and Functional Leads to ensure that project status, risks and issues are clearly communicated and understood

Interface with key GIS teams and partners (Risk, Procurement, outsource service providers, etc ) as needed to ensure proper communications and timely delivery of projects


Required Skills & Knowledge

Bachelor’s Degree in finance, business, engineering, or IT (master’s a plus)

8 - 10 years of project management experience, including successfully delivering projects / programs in Asia

Experience in regional program execution is preferred

Experience with delivery of Retail related platforms and / or SAP integrations is highly preferred

Excellent communications, interpersonal, analytical, time management, presentation and problem-solving skills

Strong Project Management skills with thorough understanding and experience with SDLC and PM lifecycle

Passionate advocate for project management and structured approaches towards delivering value

Expertise in MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint

Can work effectively either independently or as part of a team

Love for technology, collaboration, process and organization

Willingness to travel and collaborate via virtual technologies

Proven ability to work with all levels of management

Strong management and leadership skills.

Written and spoken fluency in English and Chinese Mandarin
