Act as a leader in the planning of geological / geotechnical investigations and geological interpretation on minor and major engineering projects in Hong Kong and SE Asia
Drawing on your expertise, and with support of our senior specialists, you will assist in the development of practical engineering solutions to address geotechnical issues.
You will also give direction to junior staff working with you.
Coach technical staff to undertake geological and geotechnical design works as required using suites of appropriate software, including 3D modelling and BIM, for inclusion in reports
Attend design meetings, site meetings and other project related meetings
Undertake site visits or, from time to time, undertake full time site supervision
Be responsible for project budgeting, project finance management and project performance
Participate in fee proposals, technical bids and tender submissions
Develop client relationship and attend business related functions
What You’ll Need
Degree holder in Geology / Earth Sciences preferred (degree holders in civil engineering / geotechnical engineering may be considered with appropriate engineering geology experience )
Recently chartered or approaching chartership (CGeol and / or CEng)
Preferably 4-8 years of post-degree experience in engineering geology
Good interpersonal skills and presentation skills
Experience with a range of geological and geotechnical software preferred
Site and office based experience in engineering geology
Proactive, energetic, quality oriented and have a high sense of accountability
Good command of spoken and written English and preferably Chinese
