Group Reporting Manager

Financial Control Division - Financial Reporting Department

Hang Seng's Financial Control function works closely with the Bank's stakeholders, including business partners, shareholders, regulators and external examiners.

We function as their accountants and business partners in providing comprehensive information on financial management, financial planning, financial reporting and compliance, capital planning and reporting, financial control & SOX control, tax advisory, insurance finance, and treasury and investment finance.

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our department as Group Reporting Manager.

Principal responsibilities

  • Provide accounting services to Hang Seng’s local subsidiaries and to ensure timely production of local statutory financial statements and Group financial reporting pack as well as Bank’s properties accounting and financial reporting function
  • Perform daily and monthly balance sheet reconciliation and substantiation process and responsible for the quality of financial reporting and analysis across subsidiaries within HASE.
  • Carry out the role of subject-matter-expert on financial compliance issue related to the relevant sections of the Securities and Futures (Financial Resources) Rules and other accounting standards and Company Ordinances.
  • Support the team head to carry out the finance function of HASE’s licensed corporates and assist in fulfilling the regulatory required Manager-In-Charge role on accounting-related areas of those licensed corporates.
  • Provide input into financial approval of new business as well as advice on financial and regulatory reporting perspective.
  • Requirements

  • University degree in Accounting or a related discipline, with a recognised professional accounting qualification an advantage
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in financial reporting in banking or similar experience in auditing of financial institutions in big 4 auditing firms
  • Strong self-motivation, ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Good communication, interpersonal and analytical skills
  • Sound knowledge of computerised accounting systems and application software such as MS Excel and PowerPoint
  • Proficiency in both English and Chinese
  • Great sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective customer service processes
