Talent Acquisition Specialist, Asia Region

A member of the Financial Times’ Global Human Resources team, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will be responsiblefor supporting the Asia region (excluding our Manila operation) in all aspects of attracting talent.

They will partner with hiring managers to identify current and future hiring needs and challenges, while also assisting in managing engagement in their region in addition to owning the employee value proposition in the region.

This is a full 360 Talent Acquisition role, where you will be managing the end to date candidate lifecycle process from attraction to contribution to on-

boarding. This is also a highly visible role where being an FT evangelist, you will be the first point of contact for external candidates and internal stakeholders alike.

You will be involved with...

Candidate Attraction

Sourcing, attracting, recruiting new talent for FT and subsidiary companies in Asia (currently Hong Kong, Singapore, China and Japan)

Develop innovative, creative, and proactive recruitment strategies to deliver high quality active and passive candidate pipelines and ensure a fast and effective sourcing and hiring process

Effectively build and engage with talent communities through social media

Identify and source appropriate internal talent for current and future open roles

Participation in wider HR global projects

Internal Stakeholder Management / Talent Management

Conduct regular follow-up with hiring managers to determine the effectiveness of recruiting plans

Work with hiring managers to understand the skills, competencies, and experiences necessary for success in each role

Educate hiring managers on best practice in hiring

Systems

Manage roles and ensure data within the Workday recruitment system is up to date

Metrics & Data

Provide reporting on recruitment statistics

Partner with HR, and business leaders to provide benchmarking reports and compensation proposals for roles to be recruited

Employer Branding

Lead on regional intern programmes

Develop, coordinate and maintains relationships with colleges, schools etc

Establish and own the plan to drive diversity in hiring

Own the relationship with 3rd party vendors

Develop a strategy to raise brand awareness amongst candidates in Asia

Develop and manage the employee value proposition

You will have the following...

3 to 5 years of prior talent acquisition experience in the Asia region required

Experience of working for a global organisation is critical as hiring managers are often based outside Asia

Mandarin language skills preferred

Excellent interpersonal, problem solving and customer service skills

Comfortable working autonomously without direction; ability to effectively prioritize workload

Ability to liaise with employees at all levels of the organisation

Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy required

Excellent organisational skills required

Articulate, professional demeanor with strong self-confidence and initiative

Comfortable networking both internally and externally

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE :

Proficiency in Workday HRIS

Experience working in the media industry
