The HKUST-Nan Fung Life Sciences Joint Laboratory is seeking several energetic and organized applicants to fill the Research Assistant positions and provide research support in the area of population-based genetics and development of novel diagnostics and therapeutics for aging.
The appointee(s) will assist in research projects that investigate the basic biology of skeletal muscle regeneration, conduct research and general laboratory duties as assigned by the team leader, and perform experiments including animal surgery, biochemical assays and histology.
Applicants should possess a bachelor’s or master’s degree in biology, biochemistry, or related areas. Relevant work experience in biology / biochemistry laboratories, knowledge of laboratory animal husbandry and adult stem cell biology will be an asset.
Preference will be given to applicants with practical experience in molecular and cell biology techniques. (Duration : 1 year, renewable)
Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided where applicable.
