Assistant Manager / Manager, Operational Risk Management

  • Support a broad range of operational and financial risk initiatives for the business.
  • Manage elements of Aegon’s Operational Risk Framework, including :
  • Assisting regular risk and control documentation and related control validation and updating of risk policies
  • Providing risk management guidelines and framework updates to staff members to promote risk management culture
  • Assisting process owners in their compliance with the risk policies and internal requirements
  • Assisting with on-going monitoring of TLB’s policies and procedures to ensure they are updated to include proper operational risk mitigating controls
  • Updating and following up the Local Loss Database, KRIs, control implementation plan, risk management reporting, BCP related documentation, outsourcing assessment
  • Assisting in administering risk management SharePoint
  • Support general administration and documentation for TLB Risk Function
  • Required Qualifications

  • CPA with 5-7 years of experience in operational risk or internal audit
  • Bachelor degree, with preference of specialization in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance
  • Knowledge in Insurance Operations; SOX / COSO Internal Control Framework, and Insurance regulations
  • Competent in MS tools
  • Good command of both oral and written English
  • Good time management
  • Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Independent and self-motivated
  • Team player who is willing to break from the crowd when necessary
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge in FLMI, CISA and FRM
  • Confidence and professionalism
  • Strong ability to influence
  • Open to creative ideas and alternative solutions
  • Persistent and Resilient
  • Ability to multi-task and remain detail orientated
