Assistant Manager, Chinese Restaurants

The position will be reporting to Key Account Manager, responsible for high-quality in-market execution of luxury brand, portfolio and company strategies to achieve volume and profit targets in Chinese Restaurants channels.


  • Achieve the agreed sales targets set with accountability for brand volume growth, distribution gains, visibility enhancement and promotional activation
  • Maximize brand growth opportunities by new business development through outlet and contract acquisition
  • Manage trade investment in line with brand and company objectives
  • Build and maintain professional trade relationships at all hierarchical levels of the customer organization
  • Maintain an accurate and updated target database, establishing call planning cycles and brand performance measures
  • Monitor competitors’ activities and propose effective responses to protect and maximize business performance
  • Keep an eye on financial status of each customer in order to minimize bad debts and ensure collections within due date
  • Ensure excellent execution and maximum effectiveness of market activities
  • Language

  • Fluent in Cantonese is a MUST; Good in English and Putonghua
  • Professional experience & know how

  • Relevant experience gained from Wine & Spirits, Hospitality, Entertainment industry will be highly desirable
  • Technical & management skills

  • Wine knowledge is preferable (e.g. WSET qualification)
  • Strong business acumen, planning, negotiations skills
  • Personal & interpersonal skills

  • Good networking, influencing, and communication skills with both traditional local Chinese consumers
  • Consultative selling with good sense of marketing
  • Good presentation and contract negotiation skills
