The Department

The International and Racing Regulation team is responsible for international and racing regulatory (including assisting with compliance-related issues) matters within the Racing Division and which relate to the Club’s function as the Racing Authority which controls and supervise horse racing in Hong Kong.

This includes the leveraging the Club’s pre-eminent capabilities as a Racing Authority to assist the Club achieve its China strategy and other business objectives, and ensuring that the Club is positioned as a leader in the organisational structures for racing at the regional and global level.

The job holder reports directly to the Executive Manager, International and Racing Regulation (EMIRR) and will provide professional administrative and secretarial support in relation to EMIRR’s functions in relation to the Asian Racing Federation and the International Federation of Horseracing Authorities, and other HKJC regulatory and compliance functions

You will :

  • Provide professional administrative and secretarial support to EMIRR, and the International and Racing Regulation team, and liaise with internal stakeholders to support the delivery of projects of the International and Racing Regulation team.
  • Organise in-person and virtual business meetings, as well as travelling schedules and bookings for EMIRR and the International and Racing Regulation team members;
  • co-ordinate enquiries and correspondence.

  • Provide administrative assistance for the preparation of documents such as reports, meeting papers, agendas and meeting minutes, including filing and maintenance of records.
  • Provide administrative assistance for presentations as requested by EMIRR, including for internal meetings and external conferences.
  • Assist in consolidating information, documents and files for EMIRR's review and approval.
  • Conduct all procurement and other administrative exercises including requests for proposals / quotations, liaison with vendors, and keeping track of progress to ensure work is delivered on budget and time.
  • Assist in ad-hoc projects, attend conference and escort guests as needed.
  • Undertake any other duties assigned by EMIRR.
  • You should have :

  • Tertiary education with minimum five years of relevant work experience in operations, administration and / or secretarial support, preferably in sizable organisations and in a legal or regulatory setting.
  • Highly skilled administrator with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications especially Excel, PowerPoint and Word, as well as online meeting platforms.
  • Comfortable with technology and able to quickly learn and adapt to new software.
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English and Chinese. Mandarin language skills would be desirable.
  • Able to effectively communicate with a wide-ranging team of international senior executives.
  • Excellent organisation, communication and time management skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritise work.
  • Able to consistently provide top-quality work under high-pressure.
  • Has integrity and is trustworthy, dependable and responsible in the workplace.
