In line with the continued growth and expansion of our business throughout Asia Pacific, we have an exciting opportunity for an External Communications Manager, Asia to join our team.
Based in either Singapore or Hong Kong, the successful candidate will be responsible for driving PR strategy and execution across the region.
The candidate may also provide comms support for a variety of company initiatives as needed. Responsibilities :
Develop and execute a solid and measurable PR strategy that aligns with business goals, specifically in support of the Asia Advisory business.
Support local (and multi-national) media outreach for CBRE’s Asia Advisory business. Work with geographic communications leads nationally to drive PR initiatives for the Advisory business in across Asia.
Develop and write press releases, bylined articles, blogs, video scripts and internal communications.
Foster strong and lasting reporter relationships across relevant media targets, and maintain ongoing dialogue that leads to opportunities for our organization and our professionals.
Pitch and promote thought leadership, research and other content with the media.
Coordinate and prepare spokespeople for media interviews.
Manage as primary point of contact in-bound media inquiries, including response to issues / crises within the Asia Advisory business.
Manage PR agency relationships and other external stakeholders where required
Draft / submit award submissions and source new award opportunities, working closely with local leadership to determine nominees for awards programs.
These can be both internal CBRE awards, as well as external awards.
Track CBRE’s media presence relative to competitors in standard global reporting format; provide Asia press highlights for global report on a weekly / annual basis.
Coordinate closely with global Corporate Communications team, Internal Communications lead for Asia Advisory, Pacific Advisory Comms Director and, as needed, Comms team for other business segments (GWS, REI).

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with at least 7 years of related experience. Knowledge of / experience in the commercial real estate sector is preferred.
Excellent writing and communication skills. Able to facilitate relationships and communication with brokers, leadership, across departments, and with media.
Thinks strategically and is proactive with ideas / opportunities.
Solid organizational, project management and multi-tasking skills that engage people across staff and departments, and allow projects to move forward based on priorities and deadlines.
