The mission of the Center for the Development of the Gifted and Talented Team (CDGT) is to help gifted learners understand their talents through the provision of diversified learning opportunities from one-day workshops to long-term comprehensive programs, as well as other activities of cultural and intellectual exposure.
We believe that bringing together gifted learners in an environment conducive to learning can benefit their intellectual and whole person development.
Our service targets range from upper primary school to senior secondary school students, as well as undergraduate students.
Reporting to the Director of CDGT, the appointee will :
Applicants should have a recognized bachelor's degree, preferably in science, engineering, mathematics or education, with at least 5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in teaching, STEM education materials development, coaching of youngsters, and / or program coordination or services in tertiary institutions.
The candidate should demonstrate excellent organizational, communication and presentation skills, have a strong sense of responsibility and be able to multitask under pressure.
He / she should be proficient in English and Chinese and competent in using MS Office applications (Word / Excel / PowerPoint).
The ideal candidate should be independent, self-motivated, attentive to details and a problem-solver. He / she should also have good interpersonal skills and enjoy working with a team.
Working outside normal office hours / on Saturdays is required on need basis.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test. (Duration : 2 years, renewable)
Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided.
A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
