ASPAC Regional Team & Reporting Line

As part of the regional team you will play an integral role in helping firms meet Trust and Growth ambitions, promoting consistency and collaboration, so that KPMG becomes the Clear Choice for clients and talent.

This role presents an exciting opportunity to build relationships with senior leaders across member firms throughout the Asia Pacific region.

The successful candidate will report to and work closely with the Executive Director of the Office of the ASPAC Chairman and also build strong working relationships with the ASPAC regional team and key stakeholders across the region.

About the role

  • Corporate Secretarial support for planning and organization of the Regional Leadership meetings and conferences
  • Coordination, monitoring and reporting of the strategic priorities and stakeholder management
  • Interaction, engagement and collaboration across the ASPAC regional team to deliver regional projects and initiatives
  • Support with aligning the strategic and operational focus of the Regional ASPAC team to the Global strategy trust and growth agenda - ensuring alignment and consistency between global / regional / local activities
  • Contribute to the effective business management, governance, operating rhythm and activities of the ASPAC Chairman and COO Office
  • Business management for the ASPAC Chairman and COO office : (70%)

  • Responsible for the corporate secretarial activities for the effective management and smooth operation of the Regional Board and Leadership Team meetings
  • General business management activities and administrative support for Regional Leadership meetings
  • Performing user access reviews and maintaining the papers on the Leadership Microsoft Teams site
  • Planning and project management support of the ASPAC Partner's Conference every two years, face-to-face leadership meetings or workshops across the region on an ad-hoc basis
  • Coordination, monitoring and reporting on the Collective Strategy (30%) :

  • Monitor and consolidate the reporting of the various functional strategic priorities that are aligned with the global trust and growth ambition
  • Review data in the reporting tool for completeness and then extract and consolidate for leadership meetings on a regular basis
  • Prepare an executive summary for the Board meetings to sit on top of the detailed consolidated report
  • Ongoing communication and engagement with stakeholders (global / regional / local) on the strategy execution plan templates, RAG status and next steps.
  • Support any strategy workshops held from time to time
  • Facilitate cross team discussion, collaboration and ensure good stakeholder management and communication
  • Skills and experience

    The successful candidate must be able to operate in a matrix organisation and have the ability to work collaboratively and influence the actions of the organisation's most senior business leaders in the region.

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college / university or equivalent work experience
  • A business manager with over 10 years' experience working in strategy, business management or organisational change within a professional service or corporate environment
  • Strong attention to detail, critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Strong and proven project management and reporting skills must be combined with resilience, cultural awareness and diplomacy to achieve stakeholder engagement
  • PMP or other project or business management certification preferred
  • Able to develop metrics, analyse data, report KPIs and following up with people on a timely basis for status updates
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage numerous projects simultaneously across multiple time zones and deliver within set timeframes
  • Strong and proven relationship building skills
  • Cultural awareness and understanding is essential
  • Excellent English, with Chinese or other Asian language skills an advantage
  • Advanced MS Office skills, including PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Teams
  • Able and available to travel internationally in the range of 20-40% (post pandemic when travel restrictions have been lifted)
