As part of the Financial Projects, Planning and Analytics team within the Group Financial Reporting team, the team need to support and manage various financial projects and long-term financial initiatives.

Also need to produce various analysis to local and regional management to support investor relations and external disclosure.

Work closely with BAU teams to review and challenge the process and deliverables.

Job Descriptions :

  • Deliver and manage various financial projects for the actuarial reporting team such as : i) perform financial analysis for various business development activities;
  • ii) support the implementation of various change in regulatory and accounting regime to the group financial reporting bases;
  • and iii) manage other financial initiatives such as review and enhancement in methodology.

  • Produce various analysis to local and regional management to support the work for investor relations and other external disclosure.
  • Work closely with other BAU teams and regional teams to explain the financial results to various stakeholders.

  • Enhance actuarial reporting process including identification and implementation of various initiatives to enhance the work efficiency.
  • Work closely with other teams to deliver various solutions.

  • Support various planning and forecast exercise including regular monitoring of the financial performance. Identify any risks and opportunities as part of the planning and forecast process
  • Provide support to BAU teams including peer review of the deliverables for group financial reporting.
  • Supervise members within the team and provide ongoing coaching on actuarial / product / insurance knowledge
  • Job Requirements :

  • Fellow of Society of Actuaries, or other equivalent actuarial bodies.
  • Minimum of 6 years relevant working experience with at least 1 years of managing tasks and individuals (supervisory level).
  • Candidates with less experience will be considered as Assistant Actuarial Manager.

  • Solid knowledge in actuarial concepts, insurance accounting, HKFRS / IFRS, tax and insurance regulatory requirements in Hong Kong, as well as the latest development in IFRS 17.
  • Strong communication skills and presentation skills, both written and spoken.
  • Ability to multi-task, be flexible, adaptable and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong inter-personal skills and ability to build collaborative working relationship with different stakeholders.
  • Good analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.
  • Prophet modelling experience and good programming knowledge is a plus.
