Job Summary :
To support the successful transformation of the business in becoming a world-class sourcing organization by maintaining strong business relationships and executing business strategies at the operational level through core sourcing competencies.
To effectively fulfill the pre-production and production elements of an assigned product category. To partner with global counterparts in ensuring that all business goals and objectives are met, including but not limited to AUC and on-time delivery targets.

To support the execution of business strategies relating to the Company’s transformation initiatives
To effectively partner with the US Sourcing team in realizing sourcing strategies in Asia
To support capacity planning responsibilities for the assigned product category
To diligently monitor pre-production and escalate / rectify any issues in prompt and sound manner
To achieve the desired first and final costs for the assigned product category
To support vendor and factory allocation and carry out all product approval milestones (Development Submits, Fit, PP, Color Management, Submit Tracking, Approval Status, Risk Escalation)
To maintain close communication with vendors and US counterparts
Education and Experience :
4 years of relevant experience in garment / textiles design, development and / or production
Supervisory / leadership experience
Diploma or above credential in Fashion Design, Clothing / Textiles, or related discipline
Strong background in developing and maintaining vendor and mill relationships
Experience in executing various sourcing strategies (e.g. country migration, vendor consolidation, etc.)
Background in commodity research & analysis
Exposure in fabric and trims management : R&D, Source, Negotiate, Initial Testing
Exposure in vendor scorecarding and remedies development
Experience in sample allocation, ordering & tracking, and product approvals
Experience in first cost, cost negotiations, and bidding
Familiarity of Product Safety / Technology standards for children’s apparel and / or products
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel PowerPoint, and Outlook)
Great command of both verbal and written English skills
Technical Skills :
Ability to negotiate with confidence and effectively pursue the optimal cost
Awareness and understanding of Design intent
Proactive escalation approach to issues and risks
Strong adherence to T&A deadlines
Understanding of basic cost components (e.g., CM, Fabric, Yield, Consumption, Trim) in order to calculate accurate
Understanding of cost components for negotiation and ability to leverage all cost opportunities
Appreciation of and eye for commercial viability
Identify and understand difference in print techniques
Analytical horsepower to generate, evaluate, remediate and articulate analytics
Identify and understand difference in dyeing and finishing techniques
Understanding of product safety requirements with ability to identify safety concerns and recommend alternative options
Understanding of yarn and textile manufacturing processes
Working knowledge of fabrication specifications (e.g., construction, yarn size and weight)
Understanding of and ability to strongly execute business strategies
