We are looking for a junior corporate credit research strategist covering the Asia Pacific region with 1-3 year experience working in the financial sector.
Suitable fresh graduate will also be considered. This role will also be covering China onshore credit bond market from a top down perspective and will be working closely with the fundamental sector analysts in the region.
Candidates with fundamental analysis experience from equity research, buy-side credit research and credit rating agencies are welcome to apply.
Global Credit Research & GEM Fixed Income Strategy encompasses High Grade, High Yield, Credit Strategy, Credit Derivatives, Mortgages and other Structured Finance, Municipals, Indices, EM Credit Strategy and EM Corporate Credit Research.
Conduct top-down corporate credit research for the Asia Pacific region
Produce regular research products including monthly publications (financial result wrap, investor survey analysis etc)
Assist with ah-hoc thematic research projects
Prepare marketing presentation materials
Maintain various internal database on daily basis with eyes to details
Communicate credit market overview and recommendations orally and in writing to internal & external clients.
Apply relative value metrics, seeking investment ideas that generate above-average returns commensurate with the level of risk taken.
Analyze and evaluate risks that impact a borrower’s ability to repay its debt from company, industry and macro perspectives, both short term and long term.
Create and maintain financial models including financial projections, analyzing key financial metrics to differentiate improving from deteriorating credits.
Assimilate and filter information from various sources; distinguishing between noise and market moving events
Interact and maintain strong relationship with corporates, rating agencies and investment professionals, including fixed income and equity analysts.
College degree and 1-3 years of relevant work experience
Previous experience of credit / equity / macro research preferred
Knowledge of financial modeling and conducting financial analysis with attention to details
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal in both English and Mandarin
Flexible, responsive and self-starting personality. Open-minded thought process and intellectual honesty.
Willingness to pursue and explore ideas and potential investment opportunities.
Most critical attributes are solid analytical skills, strong business acumen and effective communication skill. Ability to demonstrate these attributes on both an individual and group level.

Advance excel skills including VBA and SQL
Experience of financial databases (Bloomberg, EPFR) preferred but not a must
