American Express Global Commercial Services (GCS) is the leading provider of payments for businesses of all sizes globally.

The Account Development Team is a key part of GCS and manages relationships with Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) clients in Hong Kong, our goal is to achieve targets of building charge volume growth, product penetration and client retention through differentiated value proposition entrenchment by following call plans as they relate to current client segment prioritization campaigns.

Our Account Development Team focuses on driving retention and growth from small or medium enterprise clients. As one team, we manage and support our commercial customers predominantly on phone based, offering professional payment needs assessment and solutions matching to support our customers at different stage of their growth journey.

Responsibilities :

Manage a dedicated portfolio and drive portfolio growth through effective sales pipeline management and customer retention

Improve customer satisfaction (measured by Net Promoter Score) with professional servicing and business knowledge to address customer pain points

Ensure consistent delivery of business targets in terms of actual sales volume and productivity

Contribute to departmental and enterprise level projects to optimize business performance through cross-business units collaboration

Promote the American Express Brand

Qualifications :

Minimum of 3-5 years experience in Outbound Sales or Account Management, preferably in the SME segment

Proven record of success in delivering sales target through effective pipeline and productivity management

Outstanding interpersonal communication skills with strong business demeanour for day-to-day contact with commercial clients from business owners, to financial controllers and accountants etc.)

Result driven and with strong customer-oriented mindset

Excellent influencing and stakeholder management skills, both internally and externally

Demonstrated self-motivation, flexibility and agility to navigate in a dynamic working environment

Knowledge of basic financial acumen is a plus (financial statement analysis, cash flow)

Experience using Salesforce.com and LinkedIn a plus

Strong PC skills, experience using Apple iPad, Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel

Strong English and Cantonese speaking and writing skills (Mandarin would be an added advantage)
