Financial Reporting Manager

Responsibilities :

  • Managing and supervise ledger activities of month end financial statements closing processes (including reconciliations)
  • Complete monthly financial reporting to Head Office
  • Managing all areas of financial audit and internal audit exercises
  • Managing full spectrum of regulatory financial filling function
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with all relevant internal policies and procedures and with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements as continued to evolve in the context of Hong Kong and Internationally
  • To address HKIA queries in a professional way
  • Supports various analytical activities such as capital modeling, budgeting and data analytics
  • Supports operational activities such as reporting processes improvements and workflow outsourcing
  • Essential Skills

  • Due to the small team size, this role requires hands on participation
  • Good understanding of the Insurance industry practices and requirements
  • Maintain an effective relationship with head office
  • Respond promptly to all queries by internal stakeholders
  • Strong negotiation skills, meticulous and able to work independently in cross border environment
  • Experience in process system enhancement projects is desirable
  • Experience

  • Bachelor degree in Accounting or relevant discipline, CPA will be an advantage
  • 6 years solid experience in reporting functions or similar capacity
  • Experience in Insurance Industry is highly desirable
  • Exposure to IFRS 9 / 17 preferred
  • Experience in use of a corporate accounting system (e.g. SUN) and advanced MS excel skills
  • Experience with SAP will be beneficial
