    Position Purpose

    The Data Management Analyst reports to the head of APAC Data Management and is responsible to design, implement and perform data management processes and activities for APAC

    Data Management Role

  • Support the data quality management framework in the Region, in particular by supporting effective escalation and remediation process, and ensuring effective use of data quality management tools.
  • Working in collaboration, in liaison with the data owners, for data integrity at each step of the life cycle of the data.
  • Data monitoring and Control

  • Ensures that proper controls framework around data is in place and compliant with Group requirement and any applicable regulation
  • Ensure accountability over the data origination processes, and data inputs and data controls are formally defined
  • Support implementation of key risk indicators to monitor data quality in the Region and share them with relevant stakeholders including OPC and independent control functions
  • Ensure monitoring, escalation and resolution process of data quality issues by facilitating adequate interactions between data owners and data inputters
  • Transformation Role

  • Ensure effective implementation of data quality management systems and tools
  • Conducts change management in order to promote the culture of accountability on data quality management
  • Quarterly Regional Assessment Committee

  • Support the Quarterly Regional Assessment Committee which is the main forum regarding the monitoring of data quality in the Region and escalation for data-related issues
  • Follow-up consolidation of feeds and data in Group Systems
  • Monitor data quality
  • Alert on major data quality issues for further escalation
  • Present data quality indicators
  • Contribute to prioritization and follow-up action plans (e.g. : mapping of systems when necessary) i.e : ensuring that data quality issues are reviewed and that corrective & preventive actions are defined to resolve them (including ownership of the actions)
  • Share and facilitate the APAC data quality governance
  • Present the results of the certification process
  • Technical and Behavioral Competencies required

  • Strong written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills required to interact effectively with counterparts in the region or globally
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Attention to details
  • Ability and willing to learn quickly
  • Good project coordination and execution skills Ability to execute according to priority with high quality
  • Willing to share ideas, insights, knowledge and relevant information within the team for the benefit of the team as a whole
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PPT) and data analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau)
  • Experience and Qualifications required

  • Experienced at building written documents in PowerPoint and Word : Story lining, using graphics, synthesizing and presenting information
  • Ideally having solid working experience in contributing to regulatory initiatives in financial / banking industry
  • Data crunching and analytics experience a big plus
