PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

Manages a team of portfolio services professionals who coordinate the administration and operational activities for client accounts, including reconciliations, transfers, settlements, redemptions, and controls.

Provides leadership to team and establishes team and individual performance objectives. Manages relationships with third-party vendors.

Identifies, drives, and implements process improvement initiatives.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manages portfolio services activities enabled by an internal control environment that produces industry-leading accuracy and timeliness.
  • May focus on a single, moderately complex process / activity.

  • Brings significant understanding of the broader industry environment and client account trends to contribute to the refinement or redevelopment of processes, protocols, and / or technologies for an improved client experience.
  • Serves as subject matter expert for portfolio services processes. Works closely with securities operations, relationship managers, portfolio managers, and custodians to ensure a seamless and efficient client experience.
  • Manages relationships with third-party providers, ensuring quality and performance standards are met and holding them accountable to established service-level agreements.

    Assists with the evaluation and selection of third-party providers. Oversees transitions to the end-state infrastructure of outsourced providers.

  • Manages processes and provides guidance to teams managed to ensure the implementation of new policies to follow regulations.
  • Executes cross-departmental and cross-divisional initiatives designed to improve accuracy, generate efficiencies, and reduce risk.

  • Responsible for the effective leadership and development of team members. Recruits, directs, motivates, and develops staff and professionals, maximizing their individual contribution, their professional growth, and their ability to function effectively with their colleagues as a team.

  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND
  • 5+ years of total relevant work experience
