This position is responsible for continuous development and implementation of the Chemical Product Safety program, covering footwear, apparel and accessories, including licensees.
This position will be responsible for compliance with the program. This position will work cross functionally internally and externally to support brand and corporation with respect to all aspects of Chemical Product Safety within the supply chain.
Key Area of Responsibility :
Implement and maintain the program across all sourcing locations globally including all in-scope Tier-1 and Tier-2 facilities.
Lead continuous program enhancements by collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders. This role understands organization’s vision and strategic goals and drives supplier compliance to meet these expectations.
Manage 3rd party service providers to build capacity and maintain technical capability. Manage and monitor the performance of the service provider.
Communicate and educate all internal and external stakeholders regularly on Chem-IQSM program and findings.
Facilitate chemical shipment process with logistic companies to help suppliers ship chemical samples to the labs.
This role is proficient in market requirements, business needs and customer expectations. Using this proficiency, the Manager of Chem-
IQSM program drives discussions and communications on Chem-IQSM, attends industry conferences AFIRM / GAFTI / and AAFA to promote Chem-
IQSM as an industry wide chemical screening tool.
Build corrective action plans to facilitate the phase-out of unwanted chemistry and work on continuous improvement plans enabling replacement with preferred chemistry.
Provide guidance to Sustainable Operation (SO) teams for onsite Chem-IQSM support, execution of corrective action & continuous improvement plans and verification.
Enhance existing product safety standards and processes using Chem-IQSM data in partnership with the Product Stewardship team.
Conduct data analysis and development of key performance indicators (KPI). Regularly update internal stakeholders (Sourcing / Brands / Sustainability & Compliance Teams) on results & KPI performance, use these to further enhance program implementation and roll-out.
Influence various internal and external stakeholders across all levels to align expectations and drive towards achieving common goals.
