Hang Seng has established a strong Wholesale IT team cross Hong Kong, Guangzhou and XiAn to support our Wholesale business in the areas of Digital Business Banking, Conversation Banking, WeChat banking, Customer Onboarding, API & Open Banking, Data & Cloud, Omni-Channels and Innovation etc.

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our department as Senior IT Service Manager.

Principal responsibilities

  • Programme Manager for Hang Seng Global Banking IT
  • Programme Manager for Hang Seng Wholesale IT Macau and Singapore market
  • Build strong partnership within HSBC Group, Mainland China Tech Giant and HK new startups.
  • Understand HSBC Group and Hang Seng Bank strategy, facilitate to define the bank's Wholesale IT strategy and execute which to fulfill business needs and aspirations on growth, management and control.
  • Plan for people and project management, provide coaching and guiding directly or indirectly to teams having developers, testers, analyst, architects, ITID, cyber Security and DevOps inside by giving clear direction, feedbacks and timely suggestions to ensure a high quality standard of deliverables according to HSBC Group and Hang Seng standards and best practices.
  • Address existing technical debt and drive for technical evolution aka Digital Transformation for the teams by working closely with various parties including business, SMEs, Solution Architects regionally & globally.
  • Establish and maintain trustworthy relationships with business and relevant stakeholders.
  • Manage expectation of key stakeholders and work jointly to maximize interest of business and customers
  • Manage supply and demand pipeline and give guidance, direction for making decision to achieve goals, deliver products that align with business
  • Requirements

  • Minimal 10+ years’ experience of software developments with both Water-Fall and Agile methodologies. Have Experience in leading and managing agile, cross function delivery teams encompassing 20+ staff (direct and indirect repartees).
  • End to End accountabilities and taken IT Service Owner role or IT Service Owner deputy experiences
  • Strong technical capabilities, knowledge and experience on digital, DevOps and Agile in banking industry
  • Passionate about technology and look for opportunities to learn and bring new ideas to the team.
  • Experience in production support and incident management
  • Demonstrate ability to mentor, develop talent and motivate staff to reach their optimum performance levels and career development
  • Passionate to join a world class team, working for a business with a need and appreciation for excellent software engineers
  • Excellent knowledge of their technical environment and will have significant responsibility in setting the way forward in the types of technology they look after.
  • Forward thinking, making the right decisions based on strategy

  • Be proactive, positive thinking, self-motivated and with high standard of integrity
  • Proficiency in both English and Chinese (Cantonese & Mandarin)
  • Great sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective customer service processes
  • Candidates with less experience will be considered for junior role.)
