The Institute of Future Cities, The Chinese University of Hong Kong is a multidisciplinary research platform to facilitate innovative, collaborative and / or comparative research work and to serve as a learning site on research methodologies and consultation approaches in Hong Kong, the Pearl River Delta and beyond.
It involves research studies related to urban sustainability and its implications on urban planning and design.
We are looking for suitably qualified and energetic researchers and scholars to join our existing team.
Entry requirement for Post-doctoral Fellow who will work on Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), preferably at building and urban scale are :
and (ix) willingness to learn ArchGIS, Envimet, Energy Plus, WAF and other building, urban and mesoscale scale simulation tools.
Entry requirement for Post-doctoral Fellows who will work on heat-related research and heat-vulnerability mapping are :
and (vi) experience in vulnerability mapping based on statistical models of corresponding risks.
Candidates with less qualification or experience will be considered for the post of Research Assistant. Review of applications will continue until the positions are filled.
Appointment will be made on contract basis for one year, renewable subject to mutual agreement.
