Oversee site supervision works to build a quality and environmental friendly campus for learning and working;
Perform contract administration and management, site management to ensure completion of works in accordance with the schedule and in compliance with contractual requirements;
Prepare and maintain well control of document filing, drawings and site works record;
Supervise contractors to ensure compliance with statutory requirements (particularly safety) and University house rules;
Carry out site inspections, record site activities, monitor progress, and check findings against specifications and drawings;
Conduct regular audit on work performance of RSS team and prepare report on the finding;
Report and issue notifications on defects and deviations, and ensure proper rectification;
Provide advice on good construction practice and make alternative proposals;
Coordinate and attend meetings with government authorities, consultants, contractors, users and in-house units;
Ensure drawing records and O&M manuals in conformity with the as-built work;
Handle complaints from users and in-house unit; and
Perform any other duties as assigned.
The appointee is required to perform shift duties; and work irregular hours (including Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays).
A Bachelor’s degree / Higher Diploma / Certificate in Building Services / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or related disciplines, with a valid safety training course certificate (commonly known as Green Card );
At least 10 years’ post-qualification on-site experience as Building Services Inspector / Project Coordinator / Construction Manager;
Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese;
Being self-motivated and performance driven with ability to complete tasks and assignments independently are required.
Chartered qualification in related disciplines, and proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project and AutoCAD are preferred.
Candidates with less relevant experience may be considered for appointment as Building Services Inspector II.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a written test.
