Duties
Provide executive support to the Head of a new Department (to be established) in the overall administration of the Department;
Supervise a team of support staff at the General Office;
Provide administrative support for delivery of academic programmes (including admission, course administration, curriculum development and quality assurance);
Organize the Department’s activities (including student-related events e.g. marketing and promotion, publication and external relations);
Provide administrative and secretarial support for the Department’s committees / meetings;
Prepare the Department’s reports; and
Perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of Department.
Requirements
A good honours degree with at least 7 years’ relevant experience. Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua);
good interpersonal, technical, critical and analytical skills with a flexible and creative approach to problem solving; and strong self-motivation with the ability to work independently to meet tight timelines are required.
Prior experience in tertiary education institutions would be an advantage. Preference will be given to candidates holding a degree in Veterinary Medicine, Animal Science or related disciplines and / or with post-qualification experience in the veterinary field.
Candidates with less experience may be considered for appointment as Executive Officer II.

Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract;
