Portfolio Analysis Group
J.P. Morgan Asset & Wealth Management’s Portfolio Analysis Group ( PAG ) is responsible for performance measurement and portfolio analytics for external clients and serves as a value-added source of insight, independent analysis and thought leadership for internal clients including portfolio managers, front office advisors, sales & marketing, oversight & governance and senior management.
Analysis types and activities include, but are not limited to, rate of return calculations, return attribution, risk analytics, competitive analysis and performance composite construction, analysis & reporting.
This analysis is instrumental to help external clients understand drivers of return in their portfolios and help us internally measure the effectiveness of our products and strategies.

Responsibilities
PAG Asset Management seeks a highly motivated individual at the ED level, to lead the PAG team in Asia supporting our Asia business across 4 key locations Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, and China.
The role will report into the co-heads of AM PAG. We are looking for an experienced leader whose primary responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to :
Primary responsibilities will include :
Regional leadership, management and oversight of the Asia PAG team based in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, and China consisting of 20 team members, including two Executive Directors
Working closely with business partners and other key stakeholders to keep aligned to the business direction and influencing decisions that will impact the PAG function in Asia
Defining, prioritization, and communication of strategic APAC PAG roadmap impacting the business
Provide the best client service experience by understanding our client’s needs and developing relationships across the organization, specifically with Investment Specialists, Portfolio Managers, Investment Directors, Middle Office, Client Reporting, and others
Lead the department’s focus to improve operating model, systems, and technology, by actively participating in projects, requirement gathering and testing of software and system tools
Oversee calculation of performance, composites, and attribution across the Asia Asset Management product range, including Equity, Fixed Income and Multi-Asset strategies, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery
Partner with upstream strategic source data owners to proactively address any data issues impacting the APAC PAG team
As part of the AM PAG global leadership team, partner closely with global and regional managers to establish consistency and best practices
Maintain high standards of quality control checks and procedures; develop and review controls considering key business projects and business changes;
be a driver of improvements
Proactively leading the talent agenda including resource planning, talent and performance management, professional skills development and diversity and inclusion initiatives
Acting as an important touch point for key internal investment relationships
Helping define and execute a long-term strategy for the region that will deliver value to the firm and clients
Qualifications include :
10+ years’ experience in investment performance measurement and attribution with a strong understanding of Equity, Fixed Income and Multi-Asset products and markets
Experience is leading teams and business transformation programs including driving change in operating model to increase timeliness and accuracy of team results
Knowledge of Asset Management products and clients, as well as a thorough understanding of portfolio accounting principles, and performance and attribution methodologies
Strong sense of prioritization, urgency, execution, and delivery with extensive experience of driving process change and efficiencies in a growing business
Ability to think strategically, challenge, influence and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure decisions are well thought out and can be executed from an PAG perspective
Strong client service mentality
Experience in partnering with a diverse team composed of staff and analysts located in multiple locations and time zones
Strong relationship management skills to build sustainable and productive alliances across matrix organizations
Ability to drive others to achieve team goals, perform work on time and effectively and improve productivity
Excellent communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills, influencing and negotiation skills with the ability to establish and communicate the strategic vision and complex ideas to all levels
Work effectively with teams and colleagues in different levels of the organization and across different geographical locations
